Biography

Olawale Opayinka is the founder of the following organisations:

• FInd Actuaries & Consultants Limited. - a firm offering Actuarial consulting services. Some its Clients include:

  • Deloitte & Touché
  • Resolve Partnerships Limited
  • Gissings
  • Canada Life

• FInd Actuaries’ a network of independent consulting actuaries which is a division of FInd Actuaries and Consultants Limited.
  
• 3E Foundation - a non for profit organisation based in the UK (www.3efoundation.org) which supports and encourages the education of Actuarial science in emerging economies and promotes the actuarial profession worldwide.

He graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos in Nigeria. He began his professional career in 1989 as an Actuarial trainee with Prolific Life & Pensions in Kendal which, following a takeover later became Scottish Provident Institution (SPI) based in Edinburgh (now part of the Abbey National Group).

He left SPI to join Windsor Life's Pension Review team in March 1997.

In June 1998 he was the Operations Manager for AKG Actuaries & Consultants in Dorking, leaving in February 1999 to join the Financial Services Authority (FSA). At the FSA he was one of the leading supervisors responsible for monitoring the Actuarial calculations underpinning the UK Pensions review of mis-sold Personal Pension Plans.
